Why is conformal coating inspection so important?
The coating thickness must not be too thin (no adequate component protection), nor too thick (coating defects, cracks, non-matching CTE, wrinkles and bubbles).
The traditional system, based on board sectioning, is destructive, expensive and time-consuming.
The brand new and already award-winning Neptune C+, thanks to the innovative dispensing process inspection solution, allows accurate measurement of coating thickness present on board of numerous materials: acrylic, silicones, polyurethane, water-based, UV and hybrid coatings.
Neptune C+ is the first inline 3D inspection system for conformal coating (or transparent materials).
Thanks to intuitive programming and machine learning algorithms, it guarantees advanced inspection capability that, through 2D, 3D and cross-sectional views, can accurately identify defects.
